Michigan has the highest truck weight limits in North America, that can be utilized on a regular basis, with a limit of 164,000 lb gross weight limit, and truck trailer combinations limited to 11 axles. Because of the huge variety of possible truck combinations, only a selection of truck combinations are shown on this website. Two heavy 11 axle combinations are shown which would primarily operate within Michigan, but there are other combinations that are used to travel through Canadian Provinces of Ontario and Quebec as well. The very high weights are utilized by the steel and primary production industries. Watch out for spring thaw weight restrictions, which reduce the amount of weight by 25-35%.
