Virginia Tractor Trailer Weight and Dimension Limits
Virginia has regulations that are in line with federal regulations. Virginia requires a Kingpin to Rear Axle group measurement, as well as restricting twin trailer combinations on non-designated highways. There is one notable exception, and that is the availability of ‘overload permits’ which allow a 5% increase in axle and gross weights on state roads. The permits can be ordered here: https://www.dmv.virginia.gov/dmvnet/overloadPermits/intro.aspx
